ProRes 422HQ to WMV for Power Point – please help
Hi Folks
I have a client who is putting some training clips we shot on an EX3 1080/50i into a power point. We edited them in M100 using the ProRes422 HQ codec and have then taken them into AE to do some finishing also using Proress HQ.
AT times the footage is quite kenetic and hand held.
I’m pretty new to the HD/solid state workflow so to be honest I’m not sure if this was the right workflow to use but the resulting ProRess files looks pretty good.
But the issue is getting it looking decent out of the Power Point which I believe only plays WMVs. The files don’t look to bad exporting straight out of QT pro with the right settings. Although the interlacing shows up a bit. I know I could get a better result but not quite sure how.
The tools I have in my arsenal at the moment are FCP suite, M100, AE QT Pro. So I was wondering if anyone could please advice how I could get the best results for this purpose.
I’ve tried exporting out of M100 and QTPro as progressive files and it doesn’t seem to make a difference at all. I’ve also tried ‘reduced interlacing flicker’ in AE and used motion blur and using various frame rates. But I’m sorta stabbing in the dark and as I say, the files are okay, but I feel I could get them better.
SO I guess my rather long winded post boils down to this question…
How do I get the best results exporting from Proress 422HQ to wmv for use in power point?
Any advice and input would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Paul
