Has anyone had trouble de-interlacing ProRes422(HQ) footage? I’m creating a videos for an end user that’s going to put them in a Keynote presentation, all the footage is ProRes422(HQ) SD, lower field first, and I’ve been trying to convert my sequence into a progressive H.264 file. Problem is: neither compressor nor quicktime conversion seem to actually de-interlace the source footage even though it’s selected. Anyone have any suggestions?

Copy the sequene and have FCP deinterlace the footage.

I’d also check out Graeme Nattress’ plugin for the deinterlacing.
