.proproj project files disappears including the autosave folder

Projects and auto save dont just disappear.

Do a finder/explorer search: .prproj

As a back up make a habit is Save A Copy to another drive

Thanks Ann but they do disappear, i’ve done all of those search still no result

Unless you are using 2017 then yes otherwise no.

You were using an internal or external drive?

Disappearing projects can be eliminated very easily. Make an autosave folder in a location separate from your main project location. Secondarily, select “save backup project to creative cloud.” If you do these two things it’s simply not possible to lose project files.
