Properties not saving settings
Hello i have a small problem, i think.
I have saved a properties profile for my video render settings and it works fine, but there is an issue concerning the Sample Rate (Hz).
Most of my music is 44,100(Hz) and that seems to be the ‘norm’ for all .mp3 files. So i wanted to have my movie properties have that setting.
Anyhow, i change the Sample Rate to 44,100 and i save my template. But when i look at the properties again it goes back to 48,000. I was wondering if this is an issue ? will it matter or can i fix it ?
My render settings are set to Lame MP3 44,100(Hz). Is it going to affect my render audio quality or anything ?

What kind of sound card do you have and what audio drivers are you using? Perhaps it doesn’t support 44.1. For example, if you are using a Creative audio product with the Creative ASIO drivers, you might find that the hardware only supports 48K.

i have onboard sound since there really isnt a reason to purchase a seperate sound card with motherboards these days, unless your doing serious audio stuff which im’ not.

What’s the render for?
If it’s for DVD, then the audio MUST be at 48K as this is the DVD spec. -
First – ignore the post before this one about why i dont see my posts. i dindt realize there was a delay in being able to post if your new.

I make world of warcraft movies , maybe you’ve seen some before or not
But i make them in the highest quality possible , which is almost like playing the game quality. So i just like to have all settings perfect is all. I can set everything to 48k , but i figured i might as well keep it 44.1 since most of all the songs that i use in my movies are 44.1 themselves.

OK, I see the confusion now. When you save the properties it is only saving the video properties not the audio properties. That’s why the audio keeps going back to 48K. You will need to set the audio to 44.1K and check the box to save that as the default, or else you will have to change it when you need to. The video properties save is only for the video tab.

Ok i got it to work now
I didn’t see anything for “save” on the audio tab , except for the bottom where it says “Start all new projects with these settings”. anyhow i checked that after i set it to 44.1 and it has ‘saved’ it. so its all good now
