    hello,

I’m working with a file that has been sent to me – screengrab:

it’s a webvideo that I need to edit and re-upload. I’m done editing it and have exported it. the trouble is that the video quality of my export looks worse than the original.

can someone tell me if I need to change the sequence settings or what the proper export settings should be for no loss in image quality.

    help? thanks

Final Cut does not support 15fps timelines. There is no good way to edit your media in FCP. You could try using Compressor to recompress to ProRes 30fps and convert the audio to AIFF 48k. Use that for your edit sequence and then re-encode back to whatever format you want. You can’t edit it natively in Final Cut.

    All the best,

    Tom, thanks for the info
after importing the 15fps file, editing and rendering I tried various export options to find a good mix of settings, I finally tried a simple quicktime conversion mp4 export:

and it worked just fine. almost no loss in quality. not sure why but, hey it worked…fyi
