Hi all, Can someone enlighten me on how to properly instal the Red 4.3.2 update? I am running Red 4.3.1. I have downloaded the update but it wants a “Try and Buy” Serial Number. Also, do I need to uninstall my previous version of Red first? Thanks. Sink.

    Hi Paul,

The “update” that you are attempting to install is in fact a full product installer, which is why he installer is asking for the unlock code. You should have received this from us automatically via email when you logged in to download the software.

If you can’t find the installer unlock then we can provide you with this. Please send me an email at peterm@borisfx.com and I’ll send that to you.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

Thanks Peter for your quick reply! I did receive the email with the trial serial number and all went well on the install. I was just a bit worried when I saw it was a “trial” and didn’t want to overwrite my bought Red. Thanks again for your help! Cheers, Paul

Does this update fix the problem with the updated Radeon HD 4870 card and boris? I read some posts that reported a problem with the 4870, is this correct or was the problem the new mac pro itself?

How do I uninstall Boris RED 2.5? I have searched on the install disk and the help menu. I am doing this to INSTALL 4.3. This is on an Apple G5.

    Thanks, Dan

    Hi Dan,

Unfortunately this is a manual operation with that version of Boris RED on the Mac. If you need any help with finding all of the necessary files please drop me a line (peterm@borisfx.com) and I’ll have one of our tech support specialists call you to walk you through the process.

    Cheers,

    Peter.

Thanks for the quick response. I found the procedure on this forum for the correct files to delete. I just wanted to make sure I got it right.

    Thanks, Dan
