  • Proper Project settings for P2 and Firestore?

Posted by Don Wilson on May 11, 2006 at 8:50 am

I have an HVX200 recording to P2 cards in 720/24pn, the camera set to 720/24p when recording to the Firestore FS100. Wanting the film-look, and an outside chance it will on day go to film. Should I set project and sequence in 720/60 or 720/24 ?

Also, the Panasonic Frame Rate Converter software does not seem to convert audio. If not, how the heck do you convert the Firestore 720/60 footage to 720/24 with audio?

    Many thanks,

    Don Wilson

[Don Wilson] “Should I set project and sequence in 720/60 or 720/24”

720p24. With this setting you can remove the pulldown and get 24fps.

After you convert the clip and lay it into the timeline, you will have to go back to the main clip and slow it down 40% to match, then drop it into the timeline separately.
