February 3, 2021 at 6:10 pmHey guys, I have a green screen that’s about 8ftX8ft and I’m having trouble right now with my iPhone 12 Pro Max getting a good full body shot of two people on the green screen without the focal view cutting off the edges and not getting the green screen behind the subjects. Am thinking of purchasing a GH5 with a lens that has a better wider focal length so the green screen stays behind the subjects in the camera view. Again they’re bodies are not off the green screen it’s the camera view that is showing that their bodies are off of it. Can anyone suggest a good lens for the GH5 that has a nice wider focal length and can capture the whole green screen with 2 full body subjects? Thanks guys here’s a photo of of the view I had on my iPhone 12Pro max but the subjects are getting cut off with the focal view

February 3, 2021 at 9:01 pmRather than buy a lens, just use a larger green screen. 8 x 8 is too small for two people (full body shot) when used properly. You normally want the people a good 6-10’ in front of the screen to prevent the green reflecting on them when it’s lit. Though you can get by with less at times depending on what is being worn. Also depends on how easy you want to make your job in post: I’ve seen wrinkled, unlit fabric used (ugh) and they can get some sort of key. How important is quality?
