Proper connection of a broadcast monitor
Hi,
I am not sure if I am properly outputting my Sony Vegas video onto my broadcast monitor. I understand the idea is to convert the digital signal to analog.
I have an ADS PYRO A/V Link which I have connected to a JVC BM-H1300SU external monitor.
I have connected from the component video out of the PYRO to the component input (labeled “comp SDI”) of the JVC.
The PYRO has light on it for Digital and a light on it for Analog. When I push the mode button so that it is in Analog mode I get nothing on the JVC monitor and it just says “No Sync”. When I change the PYRO mode to digital I can see the video just fine on the JVC.
My question is, when the PYRO is in “Digital” mode does this mean that it’s still sending a digital signal to the broadcast monitor? Subsequently meaning I am not set up properly to adjust for colors for video that will be eventually broadcast?
I have tried various things to get it to work in Analog mode but nothing shows on the screen so I am wondering if perhaps I am already doing it correctly? But I am skeptical about the PYRO being in digital mode.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
