Hi, I am using some gopro footage of an aircraft on a timeline otherwise filled with DSLR footage, the propeller blades leave a very weird pattern of the propeller blades on the plane, especially compared to the smooth blur due to the shutter angle the rest of the footage was shot at, does anyone know a technique to create an authentic motion blur around those propeller patterns? Thanks!

You can use ReelSmart Motion Blur in most NLE or compositing application. It got me some pretty good results on video that was shot with a high shutter speed. I guess it really depends on the nature of your footage. You can download the trial first: https://www.revisionfx.com/products/rsmb/

The standard version is 90$. It’s worth it.

Thanks! I tried it, plugin is quite cool, it doesn’t really work for this project as too many other things are moving in the frame and it is just impossible to isolate the propeller blades, but thanks for pointing it out!
