    Hi guys

In the view menu, the option to proof setup (kodak) and proof colours, is this only applicable when your footage is going back out to film stock?

im working in 32bit with a bunch of dpx files, which i have interpreted as kodak files.

i have keyed and graded them and am viewing them with Kodak option and proof colours checked, but my Standard Definition renders, look nothing like whats in After Effects.

Im drowning here and any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
    Chris

I think you might want to turn off the proof colours setting and use an adjustment layer to match your standard def output to what your seeing with the proof colours on. I really recommend Mark Christiansen’s After Effects in production book, he covers this pretty well but our workflow doesn’t need it yet so I’m not completely up on it. If you can’t get your hands on a copy let me know and I’ll try and summarize it for you somehow. Great book though, do yourself a favour and order a copy.
