    NVENC is some H264 hardware encoder in Nvidia Kepler GPUs 600-700 series, won’t use CPU, GPU or RAM resources, just the storage drive, imagine Sony supporting this hardware in Vegas… could accelerate effects and previewing through CUDA and encode mainconcept/AVC projects for “free” since it’s a different hardware in the silicon, the speed could be staggering fast.

    With 700 series cards using Kepler also Sony has to support the architecture rather sooner than later, even if Nvidia is to blame for breaking backwards compatibility, the reason was clear, new encoding hardware with new, faster, more efficient CUDA shaders.
