What are people doing for media managing in CS6 when dealing with Long GOP based media? XDCAM, MXF, SXS media all make our trimmed projects crash when media managing. If we choose the full project vs. trimmed versions, it works, but takes a long time and takes up a hell of a lot of drive space. When we have to media managed weekly aired shows, elements, raw media, we are burning through drives in addition to LTO tape. What could be a 30-50Gig media managed show is now ballooning up to 350-450-Gigs per show. We had some luck with upping the handles of the media to 100frames, but now that fails just like smaller amounts of handles.

Anyone have some magical formula to make this work? This is starting to become a huge burden and cost because Adobe cannot work with this type of media in a trimmed down fashion. I have not tried it with CC yet, but work won’t be considering the upgrade just yet due to licensing changes.
