I have an interesting challenge that I would like to present to the creative minds here:

My father is an educator in West Africa. He uses powerpoint and video presentations as part of his teaching. He has a 1600 lumens projector but is constantly running into problems of the screen being washed out with light. I would like to hear some creative suggestions about how he could over come this problem. Obviously budget is a serious issue.

Here are the challenges: The events are often held in buildings with big open windows and the light spills in from everywhere. There is typically no air conditioning , so if he blocked the windows it would get very hot in the building. Not to mention some of his classes are held outside underneath a tree!! Are there special screens which would reflect the image better? Could he create some kind of hood to block the light? Anyway to magnify the intensity of the light?

I would appreciate a good brainstorm on this issue.
