I’ll try not to over complicate what is probably a very simple question. When I produce a lengthy holiday type video (Vegas 8 Pro) I often find it a hit or miss exercise to fit the rendered project onto a 4.7Gb DVD when burning with DVDA. Sometimes I make the project too big and I have to go back, split the project into two and re-render.
Surely there is a way to ascertain whether a completed project is going to fit onto a DVD prior to rendering. Can anyone educate me in this regard? Many thanks.

Use a bitrate calculator to determine the size before you begin encoding (i.e. rendering).
https://www.johncline.com/bitcalc110.zip is the link to the one I’ve been using for several years, am very happy with and have mentioned several times on the Sony Vegas forum.
