I have sony vegas platinum 11 and dvd architect 5. I have a video file that is 1hr 32 min. Its about as short as I can make it. I rendered it matching my media and it created a .mp4 file. Its in dvd architect and size is 5,511.8MB and it says its at 118% of the dvd’s available space. Is there an easy way to make it fit onto the dvd without cutting any more out of the video. Can Vegas render it at a more compact bit rate??

First of all you want top render as MPEG2 for DVD (not MP4). You can reduce the bit-rate so that it fits onto a DVD but there’s an easier way…
Second, you’re using Movie Studio. Just press the Make Movie button and follow the wizard to make a DVD and Movie Studio will make sure that everything fits.
