    Project Settings/Digitizing question: 23.976p or 30i?

    I’ll be working on a show for broadcast and I’m wondering if I should be setting my project as 23.976p or 30i and capturing as such. The deck is a BVW-75 betaSP deck.

    As well should I stay with the same timeline I used for the capture?

    You need to know your deliverables, then work backward.

    If the delivery is 60i, just work at 60i (really 29.97 frames per second)

    If the delivery is 23.98, then work at 23.98 but realize that you will have trouble with any 30 frame originated material.
