    Is there a project file restore feature in Vegas? Reason I’m asking;
    I opened a previously saved project-edit and was experimenting with a logo element in the timeline. It was a .png file with alpha channel. Anyways… I was applying a chromakey filter (just experimenting with additional layers)… and now the logo has a partial black bkgrd that I can’t get rid of …even after removing the chromakey filters & closing the project without saving.

    I opened the previously saved project and the logo png has the black bkgrd now. Closed & opened other previous projects with the same logo and darned if they don’t have the same thing.

    I’m stumped! Obviously something got corrupted in the logo file …any ideas? I was wondering if there’s an auto-saved project file ( kind of how Media 100 used to do) where if you ran into a problem you could always check the auto-save project file and reopen a previous (uncorrupted) project file.

    Any help much obliged!

    I believe this should work.

    Start, Run…, enter:

    C:Documents and Settings[WINDOWS USER]Local SettingsApplication DataSonyVegas Pro10.0

    You should find all of your autosaves here. Vegas autosaves very regularly.

    Alternatively, you can go manually:
    My Computer > C Drive (or wherever) > Documents and Settings, click your username etc and follow the directions I stated earlier.

    You will have to have hidden file visibility enabled to see folders like ‘Local Settings’ and ‘Application Data’.
    To enable this, open any folder in explorer.
    Tools > Folder Options… > Choose View tab > Choose Show hidden files and folders under ‘Hidden Files and Folders’ on the list.
