Hi,
I’m CAD designer, and my knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is rather weak. I’ve started using it few days ago for one reason only – I need to achive these kind of effect in my work. These are so called “class rings” flyers. I would really appreciate some tips and tricks on how to create such images. I have silhouettea of my signet rings in AI, I also created similiar golden effect on them, but what’s problematic is all the art/relief in the middle, especialy the eagle. I will need to produce a lot of these kind of vector graphic, using diffrent symbols and elements, but overall effect will be the same -side of class rings with different reliefs.If you need more examples copy this link to google search

if you are new to AI i would suggest learning the pen tool…

this will give you a broad understanding of how to create the shapes you need.i would suggest looking at some tuts on the mesh gradient tool.
