    Media input is HDV.
    The project is to be rendered as MP4 & DVD.
    What project property setting should I use?

    When rendering for multiple output formats I like to keep my project properties in format of the source video. When rendering for a specific format I will make my project match that output format. There are pros and cons to each. You have to find what works best for you.
