I don’t get how all my media on the timeline keeps coming up 30 frames, regardless of the source (several different video camera’s, and even more different still camera’s), while my project properties are still set on 50i. What am I missing? This never happenend before I reinstalled Vegas after I newly installed Windows 7 and all software because of bugs. But I have done so several times before. I can’t figure out where I’ve gone wrong.

Whenever I drag the edge of media it goes up to 29 instead of 24.

What do you have your Timeline Ruler set to? If you set it to 29.97 it doesn’t matter what you project is or media is, it will show 29.97 fps. The Timeline Ruler is independent of the Project Properties. Make sure that they are set the same.

Thanks very much, John. In all the years I use SVP I never looked at the timeline ruler setting. Never even knew you could adjust that. DUH. You were spot on of course: it was set to 29,97 fps. Problem solved. One less thing to worry about.
    Thanks.

Awesome! yea, you would think that the project and timeline would automatically match but… they don’t! Glad that’s all it was.
