Project Media – Replace
Using nested projects. Trying to replace NestProjA with NestProjB.
NestProjA is trimmed, compressed, and reversed. When I replace it with NestProjB, it is not reversed. When I reverse the clip in the Track View, it looks as if the trimming is goofed up. The compression looks right but what is trimmed in NestProjB doesn’t look like the same as what was used trimmed in NestProjA.
Basically, the wrong part of NestProjB is being played. What am I doing wrong?

So you have a Main Project with NestA and now NestB. All the “reverse”, “trimming” and “compression”(?) is/has been done within their respective Veg projects, and ONLY in the Main project are you assembling your video – yes?
When you say replace, is this a simple “swap-out” of the position of NestA for NestB? You aren’t doing a replace by the “Take” method?
If all of the above is true, then I don’t see why you should be getting this result? It all sounds good to me?

No, NestProjA and NestProjB have NO trimming, compression, reversing. They have Media, Track Motion and Pan/Crop events. They play in the “same time”, only the Media and events are different.
ParentProjX uses NestProjA. NestProjA is trimmed into clips, some are reversed, almost all have some compression. The problem is that Replace swaps out NestProjA.veg – subclip 1 (reversed) with NestProjB.veg. Thus, I end up with two NestProjB.veg references in the Project Media.

I found a solution. I had to take all the Reversed clips and un-Reverse ’em. Verify that there’s no reference to the * – subclip 1 (reversed) item in View Edit Details (alt-6).
Now do the Replace. There’s nothing referencing the * – subclip 1 (reversed) item so delete it from Project Media. Now go back and Reverse the clips.
Everything plays as it should and NestProjA has been swapped with NestProjB.
