    Hello,
I’m running PrP CC 2019 on a new iMac. After days and hours of relinking and talking with the nice people and Adobe Support, I have a new sequence recovered from an old MBP.

Now trying to Project Manage or Export Premiere Project to the internal drive. Project Manager quits after some minutes with Unknown Error. After selecting the whole sequence, Export Premiere Project is grayed out and Export Media fails.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Robert

Project Manager gives you 2 options. Are you copying or transcoding/trimming media?

    Hi Oliver,
I’d like to copy but I’ve tried both and neither one works.
One: confusion: there’s something like an “original media” setting for one of these and none of my media matches the dropdown choices.
It’s mostly ProRes with a few mp4 files.
    Thanks,
    Robert

Both methods create new media. If you select copy, it simply copies the source files without modification and at full length. If you select transcode, then it converts the media (such as to ProRes) and gives you the option to trim clips to the length used in the sequence plus a few frames or seconds of handles. You can only Project Manage/Media Manage a sequence, however multiple sequences can be selected. Sometimes if you select transcode, it may still copy the full clip because of certain clip attributes.

Not sure why you would get an error, but Project Manager certainly has issues from time to time. Do you have enough available space on the target drive?
