    Hi everyone,

I’ve posted as similar question on another forum but wanted to put it here as it has to do with Vegas as well.

Shooting on XDCAM HD PDW F-350. Trying out different slo mo modes. Normally work in PAL so overcrank 25P to 50fps. Stick it on timeline on standard project settings of 1440 x 1080i 25fps PAL. No problem.

Then tried shooting NTSC 30P overcranking to 60fps. Put it on the timeline with project settings as above, expecting the footage to run slightly slower as the 60fps is coming back down to 25fps PAL but it doesn’t. On my tests (bouncing ball from predetermined height) they seem the same.

    Why is this?

So then I try recording NTSC 24P overcranking to 60fps and repeating as above. This footage is indeed slower when played back. OK.

But why, when I change the project settings to 50fps (Double PAL) does the playback not alter? The “display” says it is playing back at 50fps but the speed remains the same.

Feel like I’m chasing my tail here! So any little gems will be gratefully absorbed 🙂

    Simon.
