I have three computers a g5 an imac and a 4 core top of the line mac pro. Working off the same harddrive footage we have been creating separate project files for our editing. When i try to open project files on the mac pro that other have been working on. The project file will open, immediately get the spin wheel, then project file will close, say out of memory or continually stay unresponsive on spinwheel. I can’t open autosaves of the same one without it doing the same thing. It’s not the ram, its not the autosave space or hard drive space. I have tried everything on here and have tried putting the stuff in new sequences new project files. But on the mac pro it won’t open the project right, but it works perfectly on the other computers when opened. please give me advice, i’m running 6.0.0

    6.0.0?
the first releases are always a bit buggy.
    have you thought of upgrading?’

are you sure all 3 systems are the same?
    6.0.0 on all of them?

are you using any 3rd party plugins on the machines?
are they identical on all machines?

    Nick,

Rachel posted before and I told her that 6.0.0 was so buggy that Apple provided patches almost immediately.

    ok.
    i don’t think there’d a be a big problem upgrading.

    otherwise try trashing your preferences.
(that’s what people tell you to do when weird, inexplicable things happen, and they have no better answer!)
