Project Exceeds Disc Capacity
I am trying to author an ISO (DVD Image selected) through Encore and when I try to build it I get the notice that “Project Exceeds Disc Capacity.” Encore indicates that 882.9 mb are used, 0 bytes are free and 526 kb are used for DVD-Rom content.
The video is 22 minutes long. The .m2v file is 784.mb and in both Transcode settings and status, it says “don’t transcode.”
The .wav file is 242 mb. In Transcode status, it says untranscoded and under Transcode settings it indicates “Automatic”I would appreciate any help or advice. Why is my disc capacity so small? I exported using MPEG-2 DVD, VBR-1 so pretty standard.

Please post a screenshot of your build panel. I agree, it makes no sense!

I was just able to export it but when I opened the .ISO file it only had Video_TS – there was no audio and I know it should also open as an image as if I were putting it into a DVD player.

And lastly, when I just tried to quit Encore I got this message:

The build panel omitted all the disk info. Good you got it to build.
Encore creates a DVD with only a VIDEO_TS folder. The AUDIO-TS folder is not need for regular DVD audio/video.
If you opened the .iso and got the folder structure rather than it playing the DVD, you probably “mounted” the iso (like a drive) and saw the files in it. I don’t know if Finder does that automatically or not. A computer DVD player may or may not handle .iso files.

An unusual error. I’d restart your Mac and try again.
Go back to your iso and see if it is not okay. Burn to disk and try in a DVD player.
