    Hi Folks,
I am in a bit of a bind here. I am working on a video project due last semester that now has a deadline this weekend. I had an accident that prohibited its completion and am stuck at home unable to walk. I say this only to explain that I cannot access the school computers and have limited software at home. I am working with FCP but I don’t have Photoshop. I would like to import an image of a telephone booth and then have a progression starting with frames that have first 1 image, then 2, 3, 4 and then 24. I am happy enough to not increase by single increments and it is okay if there is black background EXCEPT for the frame having the 24. I have fiddled endlessly with Preview and even with WORD to accomplish this and I am getting nowhere. Does anyone have a suggestion for me? I really hate to give up the idea as it works well with the overall concept of the film. As you can tell I am very much a newbie so if you get too technical I won’t understand. I would be SO appreciative of your help. It is a JPEG and in the info window it states its measure is 103X244.
    As always…thanks.

    Sounds simple…..but
Did you size your images before, importing?
What size video are you creating?
Are you making an image sequence animation?
or just adding a few stills into a video?

Thanks for taking time to reply. Plz forgive if I misunderstood your questions (spell newbie with a capital ‘N’) Size of video? 10 minutes. It is a sample documentary for a documentary class but it is not a straightforward but, rather an attempt at a creative way of addressing the topic. So…on the timeline there are segments (probably incorrect term) that are clips of films that I took. But interspersed there are still images and I was trying to work with some of them. I am finding out that I have a GREAT deal to learn about keyframing. I was hoping to do some work with these images. In this instance, I have a picture of a phone booth. I did crop and save it in Preview…..is that what you meant when you asked if I sized the image? I’d gotten the image from Google Images (no copyright issue) For the point I wanted to make I wanted to take 1 image of these images and work it some way creatively into a frame that has 24-27 of them. I considered taking 1, then 2, 3, 4 and then jumping to 27. This only because I was able to work with the images in WORD and accomplish that. I would be perfectly happy to take the single booth have it twirl in black space and end up with the 24-27 (if having the option of choosing matters).

Before I received your kind response, I tried to create the effect using a video filter (tiling) but that was a failure.

If I am making this confusing, feel free to let me know.

While I have you “on the line” so to speak…let me run this by you if you would. I was searching for a way to make the one booth spin. (It was a still image) I searched this site and found that someone had asked the same question. The person who replied said to start at the beginning and set a keyframe at “0” and then go to the end and put another keyframe in, this time at 360. They said that it would be crude but would produce the effect. That would have been okay for me. However, when I did that and put the 2nd keyframe, the zero keyframe I put in changed to “360” too. I tried several things…such as making different time increments of the same image and setting the key frame at the beginning of the first one and the end of the last one. That didn’t work either. What the heck am I doing wrong? I love working with editing…I hate being so lost!

    Thanks so much 🙂
