    Hello
I just purchased a new laptop. So I am doing something I haven’t done before. Moving projects from my i7 desktop to my i5 laptop. I was disappointed to find that vegas isn’t very helpful finding files.
I had hoped like ProTools I could point to the folder and it would find all files. Not so . It makes me click through each file.
My structure hasn’t changed. A project folder, within that a folder for veg files,a folder for video media, a folder for still images. and a folder for audio files . All in the main project folder. Did I do something dumb?
Also noted Newblue Titler will crash vegas asap if I by mistake leave the gpu set to the AMD 1 gig video card that is in laptop. Not a big deal as I doubt the puny AMD gpu helps.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks
    B

When I moved projects between systems it seemed to work fine with the save project as functionality with the option to copy media files.

I always make it a point to put all my project files in one folder so I don’t have that problem but a solution is to do a “save as” on your project to a NEW empty folder and Vegas will take all the files from the project and put them there. Be sure the folder is empty though or it will rename and double up all the files and make a real mess.

I don’t know about New Blue Titler (although I’ve heard from others that it’s not very stable) but on some of my NewBlue plugins when you click on the “about” box there is a check box there so you can disable GPU. I had problems with NewBlue crashing until I unchecked that. I then purchased a new updated video card and had no problems after that.

This is not how it usually works and I have seen Vegas ask for each file before and I don’t know what triggers that because it should only ask you for the first file and then tell you that it found more in the same folder and ask if you want to use those. Usually in two clicks all of your files are back. Make sure that you have the latest build of whatever version of Vegas Pro you are using to make sure that you are not experiencing a bug.

NewBlue Titler is very stable on my system. And most people who have reported issues to NewBlueFX we’ve found out why they were having issues and resolved the issue or we’ve determined that their video card is not compatible.
