    This is actually a SDX900 question but there’s no specific forum for that I think the Varicam does this too.

    The other day I shot a high profile lecture series in DVCPro50 16:9 30p. Looks great no problems in FCP or none really in any of the outputted media conversions.

    But I learned today that I am supposed to leave the system settings of the camera in Interlaced even though I select 30p (p obviously for Progressive). Why….?

    And will I have problems somewhere down the distribution line because this was filmed in true progressive rather than the Interlaced 30p?

    Very confused…

    Thanks for any quick responses as I’m off in an hour to go shoot another lecture in again… I’m going to listen to the rental house and change the sys settings back to Interlaced 30p
