progressive sequence has wavy/interlace-like problems
Hi!
I’m working on a number of videos using a 1280 x 720 p, 59.94 timeline. I’m using Apple Pro Res 422 for the compression. My first video turned out fine when taken through Compressor with the HD settings – CG when moving side to side moves smoothly, lettering on machinery is smooth as well. My other sequences, also theoretically set up the same (using AJA IOHD 720p 59.94 preset), show fine in the FCP canvas, but when exported through Compressor, have wavy lines when things move – like CG or the machinery lettering, solid when stationary. Really only shows up with white – isn’t as obvious with colored objects. Crawls are really bad while rolls aren’t so bad.
Any thoughts on what might be going on? I’m trying an experiment where I’ve stripped off the video on the one good sequence and have plopped everything from another sequence on top to see what happens. It is rendering now and hopefully in an hour I’ll be able to start Compressor and by tomorrow AM know if that has fixed the problem.
Help!
