I’ve been creating these short training videos in DV NTSC mainly because that’s the default setting in Premiere and I don’t have a lot of video experience. When I make a DVD I usually just use ‘Export To Encore’ and make an auto play, looping DVD. If someone wanted to collect, say, 30 or so of these videos and put them on a looping DVD, what’s the best preset to use? I like presets since I don’t really know what I’m doing. They’ll be showing the videos on 40″ plasma screens, with what kind of DVD players and connections I’m not sure, I want to be ready for anything.
Do you guys think progressive scan is the way to go? Can you even do that from an interlaced project? I would imagine the highest quality would be ok since there’s only about 30 min of content.
    Thanks for your help.

If the source video that you use to edit in Premiere Pro is interlaced NTSC footage, then keep everything interlaced all the way through DVD creation.

Let the player and/or the plasma handle the deinterlacing for display.
