hey guys so im trying to get a nice encode for my dvcpro HD 720P 59.94 onto DVD. Ive been going through past forums on the subject so im not gonna ask whats the best technique as it seems nobody knows haha. My real question is i have been burning my dvds with 29.97 bottom field but i have been having some issue with jaggyness and pulsating , not terribly but enough where it bothers me.

would switching to progressive help? my main question is what happens if i burn a progressive DVD and then try to play it on a non-progressive dvd player, im assuming not all and probably a majority of dvd players arent progressive and i wont know what the client is going to view it on.

Also the Frame rate, my project is in 59.94 but the dvd burns 29.97.. even when i try to change it to 59.94 on compressor it wont allow me to, im guessing 59.94 is only an HD format and doesn’t work on DVD’s?

    thanks for any insight

im on an apple G5 dual 2.7 (ughhh)
