I’m making the move from FCP 7 to PP CC. I usually post h.264 reviews for clients, which was simple with FCP. I’ve figured out the export process but can’t find a way to encode QT with progressive download. What’s up with that? Is Adobe telling me to make a Flash movie instead?

You can export progressive, just choose a different video codec.

    Hi John,

Premiere can indeed export progressive files. I’ve included a screen grab so you know I’m not lying 😉

Here’s a link to some helpful tips and tricks for encoding in Premiere and Adobe Media Encoder.

    Hi All…

I think John is referring to Quicktime Pro’s “Fast Start” options for Progressive download not Progressive field order.

What options are available thru Adobe Media encoder?
