programs quit when trying to print
I have done a search but found nothing specific to this problem… 12″ Aluminum Powerbook G4 1 Ghz w/768 ram. Several days ago I upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.4.9 and anytime I try to print, from any application, the application quits. I never get to the print window, I just get a spinning ball for about 6 seconds then the quit window appears.I have repaired permissions but that had no effect. I would appreciate any help as this is a real problem, as you might imaginie. No printing, no save as pdf … no invoicing… no money!

Try repairing disc permissions and then download and install the newest driver from the manufactures website.

Well, know I feel a little stupid. I didn’t think to re-install the drivers because the driver has not been updated since May of ’06, and since it never made it to a spot where I chose a printer I assumed it was not a specific driver. BUT… it’s working. Thanks again to the COW for helping me out.
