  • Program has disappeared where is the backup copy?

Posted by Jerome Robbins on June 15, 2006 at 4:02 pm

    Mac g-4 144 duel OS 10.3.9, Media 100 XR 8.2.2 RED

I opened a 13 minute program I have been working on. It was all rendered. I split a clip to extend it and I got an error message and Media 100 closed. when I reopened the program the split clip was as I had left it but all the clips after it were gone. Essentially all but 30 seconds of the program disappeared. I have shut down and restarted several times but it is still missing. I looked at the Harddrive where the media is stored and it looks like it is there.

Where is the backup program and how do i get at it. I don’t want to recreate from scratch. Please help.

Have you tried going to your Media 100 folder under applications? There should be a folder in there that references backups. Should be several in there to choose from.

It’s been awhile, but I think this should put you on the right track.

The backups of your timelines (if the backup function is turned on) should be in YourHomeFolder->Documents->Media 100 backups

Thank you. I found the back ups and continued on my merry way.
