    Professional workflow

    Hi guys,

    for a couple of years now I’ve been doing some video work for different clients. Most of my work is used for Youtube and I wanted to hear some tought/tips for my workflow.

    Usually I work like this:
    1. Edit video in FCP (no titles) + export (not self contained)
    2. Add text/titles and color correction in AE + export ProRes
    3. Convert for web (MOV/H264) in MPEG Streamclip

    Am I going in the right direction here? In the future some clients want to use the video’s for broadcast (local stations) but from what I read on the internet this is a whole new area of expertise (preparing video for broadcast etc…). Can I continue with this kind of workflow? Probably not… How do you professionals work and what’s my next step?
