What do you do when a Producer asks for a particular transition but it is in vague language and you are not sure what they are asking for?
What would you use for a “Warp” transition (not my language)
Or a “Flipping Boxes” – Keep in mind I work on a very tight deadlines and usually have not much time to play around.
    Any input would be great!

Do you have Boris FX, also known as Avid FX, on your system? You can preview hundreds of transitions and effects in the library viewer. Just put a Boris transition effect on your clip, go into Boris and then pull up the library of transitions. You’ll see how the transition will look with the clip you have in mind.

If by warp he means an image morphing into another, I’d try the FluidMorph effect in the Illusion FX category. It’s actually quite sophisticated and attractive if used on the right images (and try playing with the options of still frame vs. moving video, borders, etc., with that effect).
