    Hello there,

I have problems to get Media100i Media to run on Producer.

I digitezed on a Media100i G4 XS at 240kbs. When i try to play the media that i drag-and-droped to a producer-bin, the message appears:

„Could not play because of bad videoframe.“

I checked on the G4 and media was playable on editing was possible.

Do you have any ideas or experiences ?

PLEASE HELP !!! as i need to know if i can buy the newest white Macbook, that only can run Leopard.

Used hardware for test was: Producer13 on 10.5.x. Quicktime 7.5.5
    On a Macbook Aluminium.

    See you,

    Valéry

That´s the problem. QuickTime 7.5.5 is broken, at least the Motion JPEG B codec of this release. Since Media 100 does rely on this codec for the Media 100 i codec, you cannot use Quicktime 7.5.5 with it. Either upgrade to QuickTime 7.6, or downgrade to QuickTime 7.5. Both should work, but as far as I know there is no reason not to upgrade to QuickTime 7.6.

    Hi Floh,

thank you, i have treyed on a G4 OSX 10.4.11. with Producer and QT 7.6.

Misfortunately it does not work, with the same error-message.

I will try tomorrow, on the Macbook, and install QT 7.6 on it.

    Will come back soon…thanks !

    PS:
I had the combination M100i / Producer 12.0.1 that worked fine on a
    2.0 white Macbook (Late 2007 GMA 950).

I sold my Macbook a year ago. Now I want to bring the thing running on
that Macbook with Leopard ! I will see tomorrow…

Yes, it seeme like the QuickTime 7.6 update for 10.4.11 does not include the fix, while the update for 10.5.x does include the MJPEG B codec fix. That´s why Producer does not work on 10.4.11 with QT7.6

On the topic of Macbook white… I am curious to know if you were able to do any compressed HD on it successfully… Considering the student pricing on Producer its a shame I haven’t had a chance to get even an entry-level Intel mac…
