I’ve been a pretty heavy daily user of Procoder 2. Now that Procoder 3 seems to be out, I’m wondering if it’s worth the $199 upgrade.
Are there any notable bug fixes? Or is this more of a “slap a Grass Valley logo on it” release?
The new feature set of Procoder 3 seems slim…
    Grid encoding for MPEG2
    Audio channel mapping
    AC3 encoding
    Inverse Telecine
    h.264
    AVCHD
    ipod mpeg4
    TC preservation

None of which seem groundbreaking, others not very useful, some (ipod MPEG4) I’ve already built custom encoding profile for anyway.
Guess I’m looking for a justification for going through the hassle of upgrading (can’t download it, have to get it through calling or a dealer) and the $199 (almost half the cost of the full package)

    Erik
