    Hey Guys,

This is my first time posting up on creative cow and hopefully it will be helpfull. I am working on a demo reel for a client and they want a multiple 3d text objects in 3d space, i have easily created these with zaxwerks 3d invigorator, and have figured out how to use the comp camera to animate. The problem I am having is this, I am trying to add .jpeg images inside the 3d text, having the camera move from one image to another, all being inside the 3d text, when i try to add a image into the comp and turn it into a 3d layer, it does not become in perspective with the 3d text. I dont know if it is a limitation of 3d invigorator, or am i just doing something wrong. Anybody who has used 3d invigorator and knows what i am talking about, I could sure use your help.

    Thanks,
    Mark

I’m not sure I’m following your question, but here it goes. AE 3D and Invigorator 3D don’t mesh well because all the moves of the Invig object have to be done in Invig. Once that object is interacting in the AE comp it’s 2D. Best thing to do is place your pictures on the text surface in Invig using the MAterial Set-up window and the Materials dialog. Hope this helps, I use Invig. sometimes, but I reall just want to get a real 3D app like Cinema 4D.

    Hey Amish,

Thanks for your help..im sure cinema 4d would most certainly be the better route..but in any case..i will try what u suggested and try adding the picture on the text using the Material set up.

    Thanks again,

My tutorial on layer mapping in 3D Invigorator may be of assistance: https://www.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/page_wrapper.cgi?forumid=2&page=/articles/dickinson_john/invig_layermap/index.html
