problems with the Blackmagic Design Software…
After properly install the Blackmagic Design software on my Mac Book Pro (also after plug in my Intensity Extreme device and camera), it ain’t allow me to configure any format at the preferences box. It shows all the settings and processing off so I can’t choose none. I cannot get communication with the intensity extreme box neither.
My MBP comes with Mac OS X 10.6.7, processor 2GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, I have installed in my MBP the Final Cut Studio 3 and the Adobe Creative Master Suite CS5. Should I upgrade to Lion platform? or should I upgrade the Final Cut Pro Suite?
I will appreciate any help, thanks a lot.

I’m having the exact same problem even after having updated to the OS 10.6.8 as they say in the system requirements. I have no access to the preferences box an I can’t get an input or output signal from the BMIE on FCP 7. I just started this “quest” yesterday so i’ll keep you posted on my findings.

Hi Alex,
Go to the “Software Update” of your mac. Download and install the thunderbolt firmware update that shows up in the check list after the search. You might have to do this 2 times.
After restarting your mac, you will have access to the preferences box of the BMIE.
Ajust your settings and your ready to go.
