Problems with multiclip playback
I have a multiclip made of two Apple ProRes 422 clips. I double-click the multiclip in the browser, so it appears in the viewer. In the viewer, I set the playhead sync to “Video”, since I want to keep the audio from one single clip and swap just the video for the angles. I set an IN point for the multiclip in the Viewer and “Insert” it in the timeline. So far so good. The multiclip is in the timeline and nothing needs to be rendered. Just, on the RT menu (top-left corner of the timeline) there are only a few options instead of the standard ones: Play Base Layer only, use playback settings and full quality. No option for “multiclip playback”.
I change the playhead sync to “open” in the viewer. I can see it is updated in the canvas as well. I select the timeline and jump to the beginning. I start playing. At this point, I would expect the two angles to play in the viewer, but they are still. As soon as I stop playing the sequence, the two clips in the viewer update to the current ones. While playing, I can use the keyboard shortcuts to cut to the different angles, so that when I stop playing I can actually see the cuts in the timeline. Just, it is very hard to make the cuts without seeing both cameras simultaneously. If I try to switch between angles by clicking on the respective clips in the viewer, the sequence just stops playing.
What am I doing wrong?
