Hi guys, here is the situation:

I created a comp (First Comp) with a few layers (jpg still images), marked the motion blur switches in all layers then i placed this comp into a new composition (Second Comp). In the Second Comp i marked the collapse transformations switch on the First Comp layer and clicked on “Enables Motion Blur”. When I animated the position of the First Comp Layer inside Second Comp , i notice that the motion blur was not applied very well. The resulting motion blur has made only by two samples… Even if i modify the Advanced Settings of the Second or the First Comp (Shutter, Samplers per frame…) the effect still with only two samples…

And now is the best part, in After Effects 6.0, using the same procedure, the final motion blur is perfect!
It has all the samples to make the moviment blurred.

    Someone can help me?
Sorry about the bad english, thanks!

update: I solve the problem when i marked the 3d switch on the layers inside First Comp (Note: in the Second Comp i don’t marked the 3d layer). It seens to me that the new “rendering engine of motion blur” in after cs3 only responds well in layer pre-comps if the layers previously agrouped are 3d layers. I don’t understand why this, since that i don’t use 3d moviment in the second composition… In After Effects 6.0 the layers on source comp doesn’t need to be in 3d to motion blur works well…
