problems with LA after quicktime update
anyoen having quicktime problems after the update that came out today?
i get cant open specified video device error now when i launch FCP

if you mean QT 7.1, I updated an AVID Adrenaline, and the AVID software would not even run after this update. !!!!!!!

If quicktime is at fault, then I would delete the quicktime receipts in the library>receipts folder. Find the quicktime 7.0.4 download from Apple or version tracker or somewhere (I’m sure it’s downloadable somewhere) and then reinstall 7.0.4.

I ran the upgrades to 10.4.6 and fcp 5.04 and qt 7.1, so far so good here. Ran with it yesterday in AE and tested everything in fcp… I’m on a G5 2.0 “classic” IO coming from a PVW-2800 component in. Just used software update.
