Hey all so I’m having issues with this audio effect, I place it between 2 tracks but instead of the track easily fading into the other track it fades completely Out and then fades up from that point rather than “Cross fading” the audio. I made sure it’s set to “Center on Cut” Can anyone help?

    I wear many hats.

Doesm’t that effect fade the audio between two clips on the same track, rather than across tracks? https://www.premiumbeat.com/blog/premiere-pro-track-audio/

Greg may mean “tracks” like audio clips…butt-spliced together on the same audio “track” in the timeline.

Human ears don’t work with linear audio any better than our eyes work with linear light…the “Constant Power” audio transition will likely give you something closer to what you’re looking for.

Why not just use constant power? Exponential fade ramps down (or up) exponentially, so when you place the effect between two clips the total volume level will decrease in the middle.

Personally, I only use exponential fade when transitioning from or to silence, never to transition clips with similar audio levels.
