  problems with effects paths

  Hey all

  i have had these problems for a while and they dont go away, im sure its something stupidly simple!

  when i have an effect and i want the center of it to follow a path i learnt on these forums a while back that u can create a nul object draw the path using the pen tool, then whilst the “shape” is highlighted, copy the data then paste it onto the position attribute of the effect.

  The key frames are there and the movement is correct but it is displaced from the position i copied it from in the comp. Is there anyway of either displacing it back or preserving the position without displacement.
