Problems with DVCPro HD footage
I just got some DVCPro HD footage at 59.97 720 lines. I’m using the “Blackmagic HDTV 720p 59.94 DVCPro HD” Easy Setup in FCP and the equivelent setup in Deck Control. I have a MBE, G5 Quad, FCP 5.11, OS X.47. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled MBE drivers 5.6.3 and repaired permissions. I have downconversion set to Hardawre/HD to HD/SD Anamorphic
I can’t monitor picture either (sound is fine) on either the analog outputs of the MBE (hardware downconversion to SD Anamorphic) or via the DVI-D port to a Sony consumer CRT. The downconverted signal is a 3-panel mirror of the image with distortion and the picture over the SDI just flickers off and on (mostly off). All 720 setups give the same picture.
Just for kicks I tried 8-bit 480 and 1080 setups, and the picture looks good when still, but will not play on the monitor (fine in canvas or viewer).
The only thing that works is setting upconverson to 720->1080, but then I have no output to my SD monitor, which is a reference monitor.
