Problems with Disintegration tutorial
I’ve been having a workflow and render problem with After Effects 7 and the Disintegration tutorial on Andrew Kramers rather excellent web page.

I get this error about half way through the tutorial.
Error 25::237 curves returned and invalid Max_result from PF_Cmd_Smart_Pre_render
For me this error displays after I add the SAM footage to the timeline and then try to create a second distegrate comp to add the other effects. Sadly it means I cannot finish the second half of this excellent tutorial.
I also get this error if I attempt to render out although a Pre-Render will work?!?!?
Just not going to work in AE7 or a problem with my setup?
Intel 6600 Quad – GT9600 512mb – 4gig ram.

Update to the above.
I meant the Save Ram Preview works, the Pre-render gives an error message as well.
