Problems with digitising (and machine control) via DV
I’ve checked or the hardware settings and dvcam deck settings etc. Tried trashing the prefferences, tested the dv cable, running diagnostics (no worries there) even zapping the P-RAM. Still can’t get the dam thing digitizing or get machine control via the dv link. It’s going in fine if I crash it in (no machine control) via s-vid cable. Anyone got any ideas?
Much appreciate any suggestions.

Do you have a DV board for Media 100? Do you connect the DV deck to the FireWire port on the P6000 board (not the one on the G3/G4/G5)? What DV deck do you use?

Thanks for your reply Floh. Sorry for my delayed reply.
The deck is a Sony DSR30p. It’s a powermac g4 running osx10.2 woth M100 i/xs V8.2 and the DV link runs from the front of the deck int the same board (slot3) at the rear of the mac that the M100 breakout board runs from.
Is that useful info? Sorry I’m not much of a techo. Know enough to be dangerous. More of a button pusher.
