Problems with cookie cutter effect. Please help
Ok. I’m new and I ha ve Sony Vegas Pro. I used a tutorial and mastered how to use the cookie cutter effect. I learned how to make a split screen with it while using the picture in picture type. Last week I had some problems with the program and messed with some settings. Now when I make a split screen, the speed of both videos is much slower, almost stop motion animation. When I take out the effect, the video runs smoothly. Only the slip where the effect is used runs slow, the rest of the video runs fine.
I think I messed with a setting and that’s why it’s not working right now. Is there anyone that can help?

Since things are OK without the FX, I can offer two guesses.
Number one is that your Preview window is set to Best/Full.
If that’s the case, drop it down to Preview/Auto and see if that helps.
The image quality will take a hit but, as this is for preview purposes only, it’s OK as the final render will still look good.
To get a smooth preview of the FX section, highlight it and do a RAM render (Shift+B).
The other thing it could be is that your computer is underpowered and just can’t keep up to what you’re expecting it to do. -
This didn’t help. Is there any way to default all settings? My fx is very slow still

To reset Vegas to its default settings, hold down Ctrl and Shift while starting it up.

i have a question dealing with the cookie cutter. im trying the effects but it wont show up on my window/screen. i dont know how to fix this, i been trying to but i cant. do you know how to?
